Paying for Services
Southside Medical Center accepts the following methods of payment for services:
- Medicare/Medicaid
- Majority of private insurance plans, except for Kaiser Permanente
- All major credit cards & debit cards
- Cash/check (check payments are processed instantly via ACH)
Co-payment, co-insurance and deductible payments are due at the time of service.
Sliding Fee Scale Programs
SMC receives a portion of its funding from the US Department of Health & Human Services. Sliding Fee Scale (SFS) is for uninsured and under-insured patients. SMC offer several SFS discounts of our services based on household income and family size.
Self-Pay Patients
Patients, who do not have insurance or do not qualify for the SFS program, will be responsible for full charges. Please note that you can still receive medical services at SMC and our financial advisors will gladly work with you to accommodate your financial needs.
